Spring is here along with the start of baseball season. We are excited to team up with the Klingers for the 12th annual Bill Klinger Baseball Essay Contest. Bill Klinger, who passed away in January 2011, loved baseball and his affinity for the game was not lost on his family. In Bill's honor, his family raises money each year to provide opportunities for young baseball fans. Students in grades 2-6 are encouraged to write a short essay about their favorite baseball player or baseball memory.

April Book Discussion

Where
Kilbourn Public Library

April's book discussion selection is The Sentence by Louise Erdrich. The Sentence asks what we owe to the living, to the dead, to the reader, and to the book. A small, independent book store in Minneapolis is haunted from November 2019 to November 2020 by the store's most annoying customer. Flora dies on All Souls' Day, but she simply won't leave the store.
