Our Policies
New Books: Patrons can check out new fiction books for a period of 14 days, and new non-fiction books circulate for 28 days.
Adult Fiction, Adult Non-fiction, Adult Paperbacks, Polish Books: Patrons can check out adult fiction, adult non-fiction, paperbacks, and the Polish collection for 28 days.
Children's Fiction, Children's Non-Fiction, Young Adult Paperbacks & Books, Children's Picture Books: Patrons can check out children's fiction, children's non-fiction, young adult books & paperbacks, and children's picture books for 28 days.
Magazines: Magazines can be checked out for a period of 14 days.
DVD's and VHS: DVD's and VHS can be checked out for a period 7 days.
CD's (Compact Discs): Music CD's can be checked out for 14 days.
Books on CD/Books on Cassette/ Playaways: Books on CD, Books on Cassette, and Playaways circulate for 28 days.
Computer Terminals: Currently we have 14 Internet-ready terminals for patron use. Some of these same computers feature programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft FrontPage, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access. Please note computer use is limited to 30 minutes per day, per person during our busy season, and one hour per day, per person during the remainder of the year. Yes, WiFi is available for our laptop-toting patrons.
Printing: You can print from our computer terminals. Black and white copies are 10 cents per page, and color copies are 25 cents per page.
Copy Machine: Copies are 10 cents per page. You can make copies on letter-sized paper, or legal-sized paper. Our copy machine does not make color copies.
Fax Machine: Faxes are $2 for the first page, and $1 per page thereafter. We do not receive faxes at the Kilbourn Public Library.
