Spring is coming and along with it the start of baseball season. We are celebrating Opening Day with our 7th Annual Bill Klinger Baseball Essay Contest. Bill Klinger, who passed away in January 2011, loved baseball and his affinity for the game was not lost on his family. In Bill's honor his family raises money each year to provide opportunities for young baseball fans to attend a Brewers game. Students in grades 2 through 6 are encouraged to write a short essay about their favorite baseball player or baseball memory. Two lucky winners will be chosen and they will each receive two tickets to a Brewers game, a gas card and spending money! Essay forms can be picked up at the library or on the bookmobile. The deadline for submitting the essays is Saturday, April 13.
