On Tuesday, November 13 at 7:00pm the Dells Country Historical Society will be presenting Susan Mikos, author of Poles in Wisconsin. She will be speaking about the Polish migration to Wisconsin and the culture of the Polish-American people. Susan Mikos is a historic preservation consultant hailing from Shorewood, Wisconsin. She has been an active participant in several Polish-American organizations such as the Polish Center of Wisconsin, Polanski- The Polish Women's Cultural Club of Milwaukee and also serves as the president of the Polish Heritage Alliance/Polish Center of Wisconsin in Franklin, WI. In addition to Poles in Wisconsin, Mikos is the author of Kresy, a book of photographs taken by geographer Louise Arner Boyd in the eastern borderlands of Poland in 1934. There will be time included for conversation and discussion following the presentation. Refreshments will be served.
