Open House

On Saturday, January 23 your Kilbourn Public Library held its 4th Annual Open House.  Over 130 people attended the event and participated in crafts and games, and visited our  tables.  The We’ve Got You Covered Open House focused on the services and programming that your library has to offer.  The open house also featured a local author showcase. A big thank you goes out to Sharon Addy, Amy Laundrie and Sandy Sweeney who shared their talent and love of reading with our patrons.

Library Book Club Selection

The Kilbourn Public Library Book Club has picked The Necklace : Thirteen Women and the Experiment that Transformed Their Lives by Cheryl Jarvis as their February book selection.  A few years ago, thirteen California women agreed to pay $15,000 for a diamond necklace and take turns keeping it and wearing it for a month at a time.  They explain why they did it - and what they got out of it - in this collective memoir which became a New York Times bestseller. The book club meets the 4th Monday and Wednesday of each month at the library.  New members are always welcome.  Join us Monday February 22 at 6:30 p,m. or Wednesday, February 24 at 1:30 p.m. to discuss this month’s book.  Books are available at the library.  Pick up a copy at the desk and join us.
