February's book selection is the bestselling historical fiction novel by Kim Michele Richardson called The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek. The story follows Cussy Mary, a pack horse librarian and her quest to bring books to the Appalachian community she loves. Thanks to Roosevelt's Kentucky Pack Horse Library Project, Troublesome's got its very own traveling librarian, Cussy Mary Carter. This story is inspired by the true blue-skinned people of Kentucky and the brave and dedicated Kentucky Pack Horse Library Service. Books can carry us anywhere, even back home. We will be discussing this book twice in the month of February: Monday, February 26 at 5:30 pm & Wednesday, February 28 at 1:30 pm.
