Our February book selection is The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin. Life is short. Nobody knows that better than seventeen year old Lenni living on the terminal ward. Dodging doctor’s orders, she joins an art class where she bumps into fellow patient Margot, a rebel-hearted eighty three year old from the next ward. Their
bond is instant as they realize that together they have lived an astonishing one hundred years. As their friendship deepens, it becomes vividly clear that life is not done with Lenni
and Margot yet. We will discuss this book that is described as “a charming, fiercely alive, and disarmingly funny debut novel” on two occasions: Wednesday, February 22 at
1:30 pm & Monday, February 27 at 5:30 pm. Everyone is welcome!
