Meet local author Amy Laundrie, learn about her survival book Stranded on Castaway Island, and participate in various hands-on "Survival Stations." Join us in July for a special author visit from Wisconsin author Tammy Borden. Tammy is the author of Waltraud: The True Story of Growing Up in Nazi Germany, which is based on her grandmother's stories that Tammy had listened to, recorded and researched her whole life. This novel tells the true story of a German girl, Waltraud, who set out on a dangerous path towards her own survival and that of her family. She becomes entangled in a daring plot to subvert the SS by keeping a treasonous secret.
