To conclude our summer author visits, we will be welcoming Wisconsin author Jeffrey D. Boldt. Jeffrey is a graduate of UW-Madison and its law school. His short fiction and poetry have been featured in HuffPost, BuzzFeed, and other literary journals. Blue Lake, his first novel, is described as a thrilling mystery set against the rich beauty of black spruces, white pines, and austere Upper Midwest lakes. This story is about nature and our place within it. When two lonely people meet in the workplace, a relationship develops. The two share a passion for the Wisconsin wilderness, their book club and each other. However, one of them is married, and after a strange conversation with an attorney, the two find themselves in high-stakes, ethical dilemmas with powerful political figures, groundwater polluters, and more. Jeffrey will be here to discuss his novel on Wednesday, August 27 at 1:30 pm. We will also be discussing this book on Monday, August 25 at 5:30 pm however the author will not be present at this session. Everyone is welcome to attend.
